Description

On the western coast of the Mani, close to the beautiful sandy bay of Pantazi and on the outskirts of charming Aghios Nikolaos, lies the detached stone house SPITI ELEONAS. The holiday home owes its name to the olive grove on which it stands (ELEONAS - olive grove). Old, gnarled olive trees, Mediterranean plants and some new plants surround the beautifully built stone house. Features of Mani architecture are reflected in the SPITI ELEONAS. Warm stone walls inside, high rooms and the open roof with beautiful wooden construction give the holiday home a pleasant spaciousness and comfort. From the beautiful, covered terrace with BBQ and cosy seating area, you can see the blue sea shimmering through the olive trees.

The comfortable holiday home SPITI ELEONAS is at ground level. The combination of stone and wood inside the holiday home creates a homely, cosy atmosphere. Adjacent to the living room with fireplace is the open kitchen area with direct access to the covered terrace with BBQ area. From the living/kitchen area, the hallway leads to the three bedrooms and the two bathrooms. At one end of the hallway is the master bedroom with direct access to the front entrance terrace and beautiful sea views. Adjacent to the master bedroom is the en-suite bathroom. At the other end of the hallway is a second bedroom with beautiful views of the olive grove. Between the two bedrooms is the third, smaller bedroom, suitable as a children's room, as well as the second bathroom. Mosquito nets hang over the beds.

The well-maintained, enclosed natural plot offers its guests many possibilities for retreat. Sun loungers and hammocks spread over the peaceful olive grove plot offer ideal conditions for lounging, dreaming and relaxing. To the side of the holiday home, an external staircase leads to the roof terrace with a 360° unobstructed view of the grandiose surrounding landscape, the foothills of the Taygetos and the sea.

Here you can end the day with a glass of wine and in the evening enjoy the fresh sea breeze with the sound of the waves, the unique sunsets and the starry sky.

The sea is on your doorstep. You have direct sea access after approx. 100m with bathing shoes over the pumice stone coast. You can reach the beautiful Pantazi beach after approx. 400m, easily and comfortably via a pedestrian path running along the sea. The shallowly sloping Pantazi Bay with fine sand on the beach and in the water, shady trees, a taverna and partly managed sunbathing area offers unforgettable bathing fun for the whole family.

2 bicycles are at the guests' disposal. Aghios Nikolaos with its pretty harbour, numerous tavernas and cafés is about 700m away. The neighbouring village of Stoupa is more lively, about 4 km away.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

wir fliegen seit sehr vielen Jahren nach Hellas und versuchen immer nicht zu überlaufene Orte zu finden, wo es nur "sanften" Tourismus gibt. Dies war zumindest jetzt in der Zeit in Agios Nikolaus der Fall. Das Haus hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Ausstattung, die vielen Terrassen, das große Grundstück mit den Olivenbäumen und den anderen Pflanzen war alles wunderbar. Das war Hellas wie wir es sehr mögen. Die Übernahme und die Abgabe der Hausschlüssel durch Kaitie war einfach und problemlos. Vielen Dank.

Das Haus ist richtig schön, im lokalen Stil gebaut und eingerichtet und hat viel Platz für mehrere Personen, sodass man sich jederzeit ein eigenes Plätzchen aussuchen kann. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit verschiedenen Elektrogeräten, Töpfen, ausreichenden Tellern und Besteck. Für kältere Tage gibt es im Wohnzimmer einen Kamin, aber das Haus besitzt auch eine Heizung. Der Garten, umgeben von Olivenbäumen, ist geschmackvoll und mit Liebe gestaltet, mit vielen Blumen und Pflanzen - auch Kräuterpflanzen, die nach dem Regen wunderbar riechen. Auch draußen gibt es mehrere Ecken mit Sitzgelegenheiten und einem Kamin. Ganz toll ist die Dachterasse mit Blick aufs Meer. Wir haben in diesem Haus erholsame Tage verbracht und konnten sogar das exzellente Olivenöl von Familie Beise verkosten. Dank den vielen informativen Broschüren und Infomaterialien im Haus konnten wir einiges über die Kultur und Region der Mani erfahren und die Gegend gezielt erkunden.

Wer ein "smart house" im durchgestylt modernen Schick braucht, wird hier nicht glücklich.

Wer hingegen den Charme eines im griechischen Stil erbauten, bestens ausgestatteten, ruhig und meernah gelegenen Hauses zu schätzen weiß, wird sich wohlfühlen und wiederkommen wollen.

Das Haus bietet reichlich Platz für bis zu 6 Personen. Die Küche ist extrem gut ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sind geräumig genug. Die Dachterrasse ist der Hit! 15 min zu Fuß zum Supermarkt (der alles bietet, was man braucht) und zu den restaurants in Agios Nicolaos (alle Preisklassen). 5 min zu Fuß zum Badestrand. Rundherum nur Olivenbäume - dementsprechend ruhig, nur die Wellen sind zu hören. Ein phantastischer Ort um auszuspannen.

Das Haus ist schön und gut gelegen direkt am Meer und in Strand Nähe. Allerdings gibt es eine sehr dreckige Müllkippe 50 Meter vom Haus entfernt direkt vor der Einfahrt, die regelmäßig angezündet wurde. Da dort z.B. auch alte Matrazen und Plastik entsorgt wird, entwickelt sich beim Feuer eine stinkende schwarze Wolke. Da muss man Glück haben dass der Wind vom Land aufs Meer weht. Umgekehrt hat man den Gestank im ganzen Haus.

Leider gab es gleich zu Beginn Mängel am Haus (Wasserleitung verstopft - Wasser lief nicht ab - ein Monteur musste kommen, Türen schleifen am Boden, Türklinken quietschen, Steckdosen waren aus der Wand gerissen, WC Spülkästen in beiden Badezimmern machen laute Geräusche nach dem Spülen wenn Wasser aufgefüllt wird, in einem Bad war die Verkleidung vom WC Spülknopf abgerissen und lag daneben - da müsste auch mal ein Monteur kommen) beide Bäder sanierungsbedürftig.

Vielen Dank für die Hinweise. Wir nehmen alle Rückmeldungen sehr ernst und beheben mögliche Defekte umgehend.

Die Müllablagerung- und Verbrennung war illegal und der Platz wurde von der Kommune im Mai 2023 aufgeräumt.

Den WC Spülknopf haben wir umgehend nach Ihrer Meldung austauschen lassen. Sollte vor Ort etwas sein, bitte immer direkt melden. Wie alle anderen Bewertungen zeigen, sind die Gäste sehr zufrieden mit dem schönen Spiti Eleonas.

Wir waren jetzt schon zum dritten mal in diesem Haus und wieder hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage ist fantastisch: Nahe an Agios Niokolaos, nahe zum Strand und trotzdem ganz allein (unter Katzen. Schildkröten und gelegentlich Kühen oder Schafen). Wieder waren wir zu sechst (drei Generationen) und trotzdem reicht (zumindest bei gutem Wetter) der Platz aus, um sich nicht zu sehr auf der Pelle zu sitzen. Gerne auch ein viertes mal !

Spiti Eleonas ist ein Kleinod für Menschen, die Ruhe und Natur fernab jeglichen Touristenrummels suchen und Freude an einem SEHR GUT ausgestatteten Haus in traditioneller Bauweise haben.

Die meernahe Lage im Olivenhain, die gute (auch per Fahrrad!) Erreichbarkeit von Lokalen und Supermärkten, das großzügige Raumangebot ergänzen den positiven Eindruck.

Per Mietwagen lassen sich weitere wunderbare kulturelle Ziele und Naturschönheiten erschließen.

Eine liebenswürdige, sehr gut englischsprechende Verwalterin hilft gern bei Fragen rund ums Haus.

Fazit: Für unsere Bedürfnisse ein ideales Feriendomizil!

Ein sehr gemütliches Haus - viel Platz innen und außen. Mit allem was man braucht reichlich ausgestattet. Großes Grundstück mit Olivenbäumen, ruhig ohne direkte Nachbarn am Meer gelegen zwischen Agios Nikolaos und Agios Dimitrios (jeweils bequeme Spazierweite). Viele Sitzmöglichkeiten, tolle überdachte Terrasse mit Außengrill und schöne Dachterrasse (Rundum-/Meer-/Bergblick!) mit bequemer Sitzecke. Ein Ort zum Entspannen und wohlfühlen... aus unserer Sicht insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.
